The drive I have as a mother to look after and support my little man is beyond ridiculous!

It’s so hard these days to not compare your life to other people’s, everything we see everyday online is always everyone’s highlight reel. It’s very rare that people share their lows and that’s ok, I for one want to try and keep my social media a positive place as that is how I strive to live my life. In saying this, the downside to social media is that you end up thinking that everyone has only happy times and that they live the perfect life and have the perfect relationships etc.
The other thing that social media brings about is judgement as everyone has an opinion and wants to shove their values down your throat, this is one thing that drives me nuts, when will people realize that we are ALL different and on DIFFERENT journey’s. I’m all for people speaking their mind but you can’t expect people to change for you or do what you think is right just because that’s what you believe. We all have moments where self doubt creeps in, I have spent many hours second guessing my decisions but never once have I lost sight of what I want in life.
I have been judged by people for the choices that I have made which has been hard as I have only ever done what I feel is right for me and my family at the time. But (there is always a but), I am SO thankful for those opportunities and for the people that have judged me for it has made me a stronger person and helped me to grow. Every knock back or ‘no’ leads to a ‘yes’ and I can’t emphasize enough how much you can’t give up when you feel like you have missed out on an opportunity as there is an even better one waiting around the corner.
Surrounding yourself with the right people is also crucial, people who love you for you and support you through the good, the bad and the ugly. You need people on your team who have your back 100% and will speak their truth to you and be supportive of your journey through life! The drive I have as a mother to look after and support this little man is beyond ridiculous. Since having him my whole world was flipped on its head, for the better of course, and all I have to do when I’m having a tough day is look at this miracle that I have created and life doesn’t feel that bad anymore!

To be selected from Channel 10 to fly to Sydney and represent Kmart for this job was a dream come true and this just proves that hard work pays off!!! I will never claim that I know it all but I do have a burning desire to reach out to more women and try to help them achieve what it is that they want from life! Through everything this opportunity has given me new hope in that what I am doing behind closed doors is working and I am being rewarded and recognised for my hard work!
