This young girl is so brave and inspiring and by sharing her story I hope it could potentially inspire other families out there!

This beautiful girl above is 14 years old and her mum came to me in distress as her daughter was unhappy due to the fact that she was unhealthy. I was truly gob smacked when she sent me her after pic with that gorgeous beaming smile on her face and reading her mums thank you note brought me to tears. This young girl is so brave and inspiring and by sharing her story I hope it could potentially inspire other families out there!

Here is the note that her mum wrote (get the tissues ready)….

*****Hi Justine, Just a quick note to thank you for your assistance in putting together a safe and effective exercise plan for my teenage daughter.
My beautiful daughter (just 14 years old) came to me 2 months ago and said the dreaded words that no mother likes to hear….”Mum I don’t really like my body”. I knew right away that I had to be very careful how this was approached as 14 is such an impressionable age and I have seen the dangerous paths that many follow on their journey to the perceived ‘perfect body’.
So……I messaged Justine for advice. I couldn’t believe it when I received a response from her the very same day offering to put together an age appropriate workout plan for my daughter, circuits similar to those Justine had enjoyed herself at 14. 24 hours later I had the workout plan on my email and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Fun, effective and perfect for a young teenager.
Over the last 8 weeks my daughter has completed the sets of 3 circuits per week in her bedroom and she has walked in the morning on her off days. We teamed this with the 3 litre challenge (ensuring she drinks 3 litres of water a day) and a mini diet overhaul (mainly just replacing sweets and takeaway type foods with healthier options).
She has been gentle on herself throughout the journey and has taken it one step at a time. After all, it’s not easy when your friends are enjoying chips and biscuits at school and you are eating a fruit salad. Her mantra was healthy body, healthy mind and absolutely no self-body shaming.
Here we are….8 weeks in and she has made the following comments along the way: “Mum I am able to concentrate heaps more at school”, “I don’t feel moody anymore”, “My skin is looking much better” and the big one….”I feel happy”.
Her bedroom wall is now a collage of positive quotes, there is a smile on her face, her body is healthy and she is beaming. What a champion she is for seeking change in a safe way. This journey has changed the way she feels about herself on the inside and that was so important to us.
Justine, once again we cannot thank you enough. I know this isn’t typically the age bracket that you are working with and the fact that you assisted us with no hesitation shows just how genuine you are in your passion for guiding others. Its brilliant to meet someone who sees their job as far more than a money making venture.
