The life of a working mum is never easy… Yesterday I was having one of those days where I felt like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders and 100 and 1 things to do. Some days it is just so hard to get the balance right and it’s a constant work in progress to not feel like you’re letting yourself or someone else down.

Am I giving Leo enough love and attention, are the ladies that I work online with getting all that they need from me, are my followers getting educated and inspired by what I do, are my husband and I spending enough time together, just us, away from the madness, am I there for my close friends and family enough and showing them support, the list goes on!

I try not to talk about my down moments that much publicly as there are far bigger issues going on in the world than me having a mini meltdown. But you know what, when I do share these moments it is to reach out and to you all and to be honest with you. I will never preach how perfect life is or that I have no shit to deal with. Life is hard and seems to be getting busier and busier and some days you feel like you’re sinking rather than swimming.

It is in these moments that you have to stop yourself in your tracks and take a moment to breathe and focus on what you have achieved and in that moment you need to stop being so hard on yourself. No one is perfect and no one has their shit together all of the time. The old saying bite off more than you can chew and chew hard is awesome but sometimes you do need to stop chewing and take a moment to smell the roses and know that we are ALL a work in progress!!!
